General Training and Certificate Questions
  1. What is the cost of individual training?

    $29.99 per course or a special bundled price of $49.99 if you take both the awareness and security courses.

  2. Is the Awareness course the same as HIPAA Privacy?

    Yes that is correct. For HIPAA Privacy, the requirement is to have a HIPAA Awareness course which is what we are providing with that course. It mainly covers HIPAA Privacy but also gives a quick overview of HIPAA Security.

  3. How long will the training take?

    On average most people can complete the training in 1 to 2 hours.

  4. What do I need to take the training?

    All you need is a computer with an internet connection and web browser.

  5. Do I have to do the training in one sitting?

    No you can take the training at your own pace and in multiple sessions. You do want to set aside 15 minutes when it is time to take the final exam however so that you can have maximus concentration.

  6. If I don't pass the final exam, can I take the test again? And is there a charge for taking the final exam again?

    You can take the final exam as many times as you need to pass. This course is mainly about comprehension. There is no charge for taking the final exam multiple times.

  7. Can I have multiple people view the training?

    No. Only if you have purchased group training. Our individual training is licensed to a single individual only.

  8. Can I take the training immediately after signing up?

    Yes. You create a username and password as part of the sign up process, so you can use that username/password immediately after payment to login and start your training.

  9. How and when will I recieve my certificate of completion?

    After successfuly completing the final exam, you will be asked to enter your name on the certificate and it will generate an adobe acrobat PDF certificate for you along with transcript scores immediately online.

  10. Is your training certified by the government?

    The Department of Health and Human Services is responsible for regulating HIPAA, but they currently do not provide a training vendor certification process. So to ensure we are providing proper training we have consulted HIPAA experts as well as had our training reviewed by a law firm specializing in HIPAA.

  11. What is the retraining requirement under HIPAA?

    HIPAA only states that employees be retrained periodically. It does not specify what that period is. Most organizations do periodic retraining yearly or every 2 years to reduce liability concerns.

Group Training
  1. Do you offer group training?

    Yes we do.

  2. How does it work?

    Our group training option includes a shared multi-user account setup. It involves zero administration as it does not require you to setup user names and passwords. Once your account is setup, everyone logs in using the same username/password. They take the training and once they are complete, each individual takes the final exam. On successfully passing the final exam, each individual enters their name on their certificate and gets a generated pdf certificate immediately for them to save or print off. A copy of that certificate with transcript scores are automatically emailed to the administrator's email address on the account.

    So all you have to do is give everyone the username/password, let them take the training, and sit back and get an email copy as everyone finishes the training. It couldn't be easier.

  3. Do you offer volume discounts?

    Yes we do. Your pricing is based on the initial number of seats you purchase:

  4. If I purchase seats after my intial purchase do I still get a volume discount?

    Your future pricing is based on your intial purchase. So if you bought 25 seats, your pricing would be $24.99 for those 25 seats and also for any future seats you purchased.

  5. How do I sign up for the group training option? I don't see a signup on your site.

    Currently you have to call us to setup your group training account as we have to set it up manually.

  6. How long does it take to setup?

    We can set it up and have it ready for you in as little as 10 minutes.

  7. Is there any charge for keeping the training account active?

    No we only charge on a pay per use basis. If you do not use it, you do not pay anything.

  8. How do you handle billing beyond the initial seats purchased?

    We can setup a corporate account file where you can keep your credit card on file with us. You can then pay monthly for the number of seats you utilized during the month. You simply let us know how many training seats you used (or we can do that for you) and we charge it your credit card on file and then send you a receipt for your payment.

  1. What is the your HIPAA Compliance Do It Yourself Kits?

    It is a complete do it yourself kit for implementing the various provisions of HIPAA compliance within your organization.

  2. I thought all I needed to do was training?

    HIPAA training is only one part of the overall HIPAA compliance process. Other parts include forms, contracts, policies and procedures, etc. That is what is provided by our HIPAA Compliance Do It Yourself Kits

  3. Who is the HIPAA DIY Kit meant for?

    It is meant for the person designated as the HIPAA Privacy/Security officer for your organization to help them implement HIPAA compliance at your organization.

  4. What is included in your HIPAA Compliance Do It Yourself Kits?

    It contains a step by step to do list walking you through the entire HIPAA compliance process along with all the forms, policies and procedures, documents, etc needed to implement HIPAA compliance at your organization.

  5. Is training included as part of your HIPAA Compliance Do It Yourself Kits?

    No we sell the training separately. Mainly because many organization have differing requirements, ie some have already implemented HIPAA compliance and just need training while others are just starting their HIPAA compliance effort.

  6. What types of forms/templates do you provide as part of the DIY Kit?

    Notice of Privacy Practices, Authoization Forms, Business Associate Contracts, Policies and Procedures, etc, all in Microsoft Word format. They can be downloaded individually or in one zip file.

  7. How much do the DIY Kits cost?

    There are two HIPAA Compliance Do It Yourself Kits: a HIPAA Privacy DIY Kit and HIPAA Security DIY Kit. They are $299 each and are licensed per organization.
